Donation Pickup Driver Position

Location: The Dream Center - 111 Hillcrest Drive Easley, SC 29640

Summary / Purpose of Position:

Drivers work in partnership with an assistant and our Donation Scheduling Manager in picking up scheduled donations from donors and delivering to our Resale Stores. Position will also include other tasks and duties as assigned to support and fulfill the mission and ministries of The Dream Center.

Position Schedule:

This position is full-time (40 hours per week). Position days and hours will include Tuesday-Saturday 9am-5pm. Applicants may be asked to work outside of those hours under special circumstances.

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Position duties will include but not be limited to: safe operation of a box truck, operating a lift gate, interacting with donors, picking up donations, delivering donations, working with store managers, and fulfilling other duties as assigned. Drivers will also be responsible for tracking mileage, maintenance, daily logs, and other duties related to the upkeep of vehicles.

Applicants must operate trucks in accordance with all state and government laws, regulations, rules of safe operation and vehicle performance, as well as policies of The Dream Center.

Applicants must have a willingness to share the good news of Jesus Christ, give a personal testimony and pray with and for those served by the ministry.

Qualifications:

  • Education or equivalent experience: High School Diploma or G.E.D. preferred but not required

  • Must be able to lift 75 lbs

  • Experience with driving a box truck is preferred but not required.

  • License/Certification: Valid SC driver's license required and MVR record must meet TDC insurance criteria.

  • Other: Applicants will be required to pass DOT Physical including a Drug Screen.
