Resale Store Assistant Manager

Location (s): The Dream Center Resale Store - 529 Hampton Ave., Pickens, SC 29671

                             

Summary / Purpose of Position: This position's primary responsibility is to assist in managing the day-to-day operations of the Resale Store.  Ensuring that the Resale Store operates in a productive and positive manner by reaching or exceeding sales goals for both Gross and Net income through leading store employees in their assigned tasks and responsibilities.

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Treat all customers and fellow employees with respect and care within TDC culture

  • Plan and prepare store work schedules and assign employees, clients and volunteers to specific duties.

  • Implement-pricing policies and ensure consistency.

  • Ensure that store appearance and merchandising layout is attractive, customer friendly, and free from any hazardous conditions or materials.

  • Responsible for the store when the manager is not present

  • Handling each situation in a Godly and professional matter

  • Lead the devotional and prayer time in the morning in the absence of manager

  • Have a willingness to share the good news of Jesus Christ, give a personal testimony and pray with/for those served by the ministry

  • Other duties as assigned by the supervisor

  • Follow all safety guidelines

  • Be available to work at least 2 Saturdays a month. 

 

Supervisory Responsibilities:

  • Regular Store employees

  • Volunteers/Community Service/Clients

 

Qualifications:

  • Education or equivalent experience: High School

  • Years of experience: Supervisory experience preferred, 2 Years Retail/Customer Service Experience preferred

  • Specialized training required: N/A

  • License/Certification: Valid SC driver's is required and MVR record must meet TDC Insurance criteria.

  • Other: This is a physical job, and will require standing for long periods of time, as well as lifting and moving of furniture or other large items weighing in excess of 50 lbs.
