Program Coordinator

Location: The Dream Center - 111 Hillcrest Drive Easley, SC 29640

Summary / Purpose of Position:

To promote the sharing of the Gospel by providing supervision, guidance, and assistance to residents through education,empowerment and encouragement. The Program Coordinator coordinates daily schedules for program participants, maintains resident files and paperwork for The Opportunity Village, takes minutes for the leadership meetings, process applications and paperwork for The Opportunity Village, run background checks and conduct drug tests on program participants, manage/support volunteers of The Opportunity Village Program

 

Aspects of the position: Facilitation of group sessions, and teaching. The Program Coordinator also maintains connections with external organizations who refer participants and assesses whether potential residents are within our standard of care. Must work internally and externally to assist residents in attaining necessary and appropriate Christian and support services.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Have a willingness to share the good news of Jesus Christ, give a personal testimony and pray with/for those served by the ministry. Must be comfortable and willing to lead a client to the Lord.

  • Models healthy Christian walk to residents and co-workers.

  • Works with Director, and OV staff to ensure organization and smooth running of the program, including standing in for the Director in their absence.

  • Work closely with other agencies who assist residents out of homelessness, addictions, and/or mental health issues through counseling, case management.

  • Maintain proper channels of communication within as well as outside of the program.

  • Develop relationships with volunteers.

  • Other duties as assigned by the Director.

 

Supervisory Responsibilities:

  • This position holds no supervisory responsibilities.

 

Qualifications:

  • Education or equivalent experience: A bachelor's 

  • Years of experience: 2  years of professional experience

  • Passionate about our mission

  • Humble and eager to learn

  • Hard-working and self-motivated

  • Team player with the ability to work well under leadership

  • Possess excellent relational and communication skills 

  • Have strong organizational skills

  • Possess good oral and written communication skills.

  • Tech savvy, proficient in MS Office

  • Ability to work with diversity and multi-disciplinary teams

  • Possess the ability to speak the truth in love while accurately interpreting communication in relationships.
