Leadership Pickens County Fundraiser
The Leadership Pickens County class is raising money for phase one of the Whole Health Kitchen which includes 5 raised garden beds and a mobile chicken coop for 8-10 chickens.
Program Highlights: Healthy eating & nutrition education, meal planning on a budget, hands-on gardening, and basic food production
Why it Matters: Helping residents develop the skills and confidence to lead healthier, more independent lives and reduce their reliance on food assistance programs.
About The Dream Center
The Dream Center is a faith-based, 501(c)3 non-profit that has been assisting those in need in the Upstate of South Carolina since May 2012.
The Dream Center offers emergency assistance to those in crisis, but the primary focus is to encourage, educate, and empower people with a hand up instead of a hand out.
The programs of The Dream Center have been specifically developed to empower and equip people, but above all, to show people that they are loved and valued as Christ loves us. We believe every person was created on purpose and for a purpose. It is our goal to not only help a person out of crisis, but to help them live out their purpose and become
self-sufficient.
